East Anglian Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club Rescue
The EASBTC co-ordinates it's own Rescue Service. If you are interested in giving a Stafford another chance in a loving and permanent home take a look at the dogs below, remember Staffords can live to 17 years old so when deciding on owning a dog this needs to be considered very seriously.
After your initial enquiry we will need to organise a home check. This is so we can find out as much about your situation as possible which helps us match you the right dog/s to view. There is no pressure to take a dog it has to be right for your family. We would rather not start the homing procedure with you, if you are in contact with another rescue. All rescues work hard to organise homechecks and dog assessments so please bare with one rescue organisation.
Please note:
The Stafford is a people orientated breed that typically does not get on with other dogs this needs to be realised and responsible owners are sought.
We work voluntary in our spare time.
Puppies generally are not available on rescue, if you want advice of whether the Stafford is suitable for you or to find a responsible breeder that is breeding for temperament where both parents are Kennel Club registered (this is not the same as Dog Lovers registration or other similar companies, these should generally be avoided) and health tested for PHPV, HC and L2-HGA then contact our club secretary, Lesley We aim to help you make an informed decision on whether the Stafford is the right breed for your family and/or situation. If you are buying a puppy contact our club secretary for details of REPUTABLE breeders, a reputable breeder will want the best homes for their puppies, they will be health tested and you will receive advise, help and contact throughout your dogs life.
We do not have our own kennels, we operate on a 'home to home' basis our dogs are from the East Anglian region and whilst we are usually able to organise home checks out of our area it may be difficult for you to travel to visit any potential dog, if this is the case contact us and we will advise you of a more local Stafford rescue who will be able to help you.
Should you take on a dog through our rescue scheme, we expect a minimum £80 donation for which you would receive membership for one year to the EASBTC which includes tapping onto a wealth of knowledge from members and committee, 3 newsletters per year and details of club events such as our annual Funday, Christmas party also we hold 2 open shows and 1 championship show per year, you will also recieve our rescue package which includes training and breed information.
Please remember NEVER to have two male dogs, whatever the breed!
Learn about whichever breeds you are interested in BEFORE buying, there are over 200 breeds in the UK. Always go through your local breed club for the breed/s you are considering for your family, details can be obtained from The Kennel Club. Before you proceed you need unbiased advice to help you make an informed decision on a family dog that will be with you for possibly up to 17 years.
Any dogs being surrended into the scheme, owners will be asked to make a minimum donation of £20 to offset assesment and administration costs.
'The EASBTC Rescue does not endorse any person or persons claiming support of our Rescue Scheme'

"LOUBIE"
Loubie - Young 11 month old brindle girl, she came into us as a stray on her last of the statuary 7 days. We now have this young lady in kennels. The kennel owner has been working with Loubie and she now sits lovely for a titbit and is keen to learn, she takes treats gently but very typical of her breed Loubie is full to bursting with energy!!!!!! A home where she can have her training continued with lots of walks and stimulation would be just the ticket!!
One of our assessors has been visiting Loubie in kennels to walk her and she's improving all the time, she is sitting on command although still rather boisterous at times and needs work on stopping her grabbing at her lead but she is responding well with this.
More information ring Jo Ann for details.
LOUBIE REALLY NEEDS A HOME, CAN YOU HELP??
"Fred"
Full history available on Fred, ring Jo Ann for details.
