RESCUE 'Happy Endings'

We all love happy endings and just thought we'd like to share a few with you below!

"DANNY"danny.jpg (15955 bytes) (NOW FRANKY)

Tim and I brought Danny (who is now Franky) home and is adjusting quite well.  He was overly excited but is now calming down.  He is doing quite well with potty training.  He is also learning his new name.  We still have to work on basic commands but in time I am sure he will become a pro.

Thank you again for giving us this wonderful opportunity. Tim and Kelly Miller

oscar.jpg (15777 bytes)"OSCAR"

Oscar has settled Right in with the family, he realy is a very loving loyal boy, he just loves to please, he is very good and well mannered indeed. Infact he has realy taken a shine to me, he loved to be with me and follows me around and will sit and watch whatever I am doing.....If he can get a cuddle and a tummy tickle he is in heaven.....hope you enjoy the pics of him.

"BELLA"bella.jpg (10558 bytes)

Attached is a couple of photo's of Bella, the first was taken the night we brought her home and the second was taken recovering from her leg operation.  I can't believe we have only had her since April 06, seems like she has been part of the family for ever :-) She really is a lovely girl and settled in really well, she loves cuddles!  She can be a bit excitable around other dogs and although she is friendly she makes so much noise with her barking and whimpering that the other dogs think she is being aggressive.  We have therefore been very careful and have gradually introduced her to other dogs.

beetle.jpg (8022 bytes)"BEETLE"

Beetle is great! She has let Slug know in no uncertain terms that she is in charge and thats that!! They have discovered the joy of playing with each other and now there is no stopping them, they've crashed into the fireplace twice already scaring them both half to death because the white pebbles went everywhere!! They tease each other with toys and then run round like a pair of loons slobbering over each other and they don't seem to mind who they dive on in the process of their rather "boisterous" play. She really doesn't like thunderstorms and became quite distressed on Saturday when we had a really vicious storm but we'll see how it goes because Slug isn't bothered and I'm hoping that might help in the long run. They have both started copying each other and following each other everywhere although they both have their favourite places to lay.

"RUBY"ruby.jpg (42648 bytes)

Ruby and Snatch are also fine together so far. He grumbled once at her yesterday because she would stop humping him and was chasing him around. She is certainly not aggressive with it, she humps him for a few seconds then jumps off him and play bows, barks at him and tries running around in circles to make him play. Bless her, Snatch doesn’t do play fighting and she looks a little sad afterwards but will try again a little later. She got the message when he grumbled at her and left him alone. Ruby is eating Natures Menu dog food fine and has not shown any signs of stress. We have started her on glucosamine for her joints, same as Snatch. We are also going twice in the early hours for a walk before it gets too hot and twice in the evening when its cooler. Not far by any means, but enough to start her working a bit of the weight off.  All in all she is a adorable little or should I say big girl.

heskey.jpg (15201 bytes) "HESKEY" (NOW SAM)

Sam's settling in very well. He's been well trained and has no vices - so far anyway. Eating properly now and the kennel cough has just about cleared up, I think. Just back from the coast with him, its much cooler there. He's learnt to fetch from the water. I don't think he'd seen the sea before. Looking forward to some cooler weather so we can get some decent walks in.

"SHINE"shineee.jpg (9183 bytes) (NOW STAMFORD)

Stamford’s getting on really well. We could nt imagine life with out him, he’s really well behaved. He loves his walks and has made loads of new friends! I have some photos developed so will send some onto you. He is so boisterous and mischievous and he’s always into everything when his quiet we worry!!

prettysaffy.jpg (11781 bytes)"SAFFY"saffysleep.jpg (10916 bytes)

Saffy is doing well and as im am getting better with my camera Ithought i would send you a couple more pictures bless her

lillypretty.jpg (12411 bytes)"LILLY"

Lilly is great thanks, she had a good Christmas and was introduced to the whole family, who loved her. We have been for some good walks with her and she has now got to the stage that she looks forward to going out every day, I have some pictures of her that I will attach. We think she is beginning to lose weight and she is much more active. Hopefully she will eventually cotton on that there is no point waiting for bisuits and sweets!

"YOGI & NIPPZ"yoginipps.jpg (12190 bytes)

Yogi is referred to as Bungalow as he has nothing up top..............he only comes alive for food in any form and Nippz is my little princess. They both push the boundaries as staffies will, I must of told them to get off the bed 1000 times but are also very well behaved. Yogi is stubborn and Nippz is a litlle minx but very keen to please and we no longer exit the boot of the car like an Exocet missile.

The one absolutely unselfish friend that man can have in this selfish world, the one that never deserts him, the one that never proves ungrateful or treacherous, is his dog…he will kiss the hand that has no food to offer; he will lick the wounds and sores that come in encounter with the roughness of the world…when all other friends desert, he remains
