AND EVEN MORE RESCUE 'HAPPY ENDINGS'
We all love happy endings and just thought we'd like to share a few with you below!
FREDDIE

Freddie is doing very well and each day becomes more of a true Staffy, i.e. thinks he is human!!
Bonfire Night last year, along with NY Eve was the only trauma as Freddie is really scared of the fireworks, he was so stressed and nervous.

I do believe though he was the most spoilt dog at Xmas and this will be repeated when we celebrate his "birthday" next week!!
We can not believe the difference in Freddie compared to one year ago, his character is so lovable and his looks are far better then Brad Pitt!!

Here are some more photos of his recent adventures....Toni, Hayley & Freddie x
DYLAN
He has settled in remarkably well up to now, and really become one of the family as we had hoped. He gets plenty of walks and plays really nicely with the boys (in HIS garden!!), and is enjoying obedience classes where he has made plenty of new friends. Dylan has become quite the local celebrity, he is greeted first and me second and loves any attention that comes his way.
ZAK
Just to let you know that Zak is fine. He seems really settled now. He has even stopped chewing things most of the time. He doesn't seem put out at all that he is left most days for part of the day. My job enables me to come home and check on him if I've got a really long day my husband takes him to work, unfortunately he has to stay in the car but at least he can see what's going on and gets let out now and again. In an ideal world I would stay at home all day with him but that's not possible. Anyway I always take him out for at least an hour every morning and a long run every evening. I can let him off the lead and he comes back to me when called unless he sees another dog and then he likes to go and say 'hello'. I don't allow this to happen if I see the dog first I put him on his lead. He is very friendly towards other dogs but if I don't know them I keep him on the lead. There is a cocker spaniel down the road whom he is very good friends with and they play until they drop. (It's great to see them together). I have been trying to get the book Ultimate Staffordshire Bull Terrier since you recommended it but have had no luck. I ordered it from Amazon but they couldn't get it I ordered it from W H Smith and they have just told me I need to go and get my money back as it is no longer being published. I don't suppose you know of anywhere I could get a copy?
I suppose you still have lots of dogs needing homes, it must be heart breaking seeing all these unwanted animals. I am so glad I contacted you last year found Zak he is a super little dog. Thanks!
BARNEY (WAS 'BOB')

Well, we've had a fun day and it's going great thanks. I've attached some pics of Bob for you so you know he's still alive after his first round with the biggest cat 'Goliath'! He's realised that the cats are in the back room behind the puppy gate but he doesn't go there every time we go into the hall so this is good. At one point though Goliath was coming up the hallway when we opened the door from the living room. So Bob, coming out of the living room met Goliath face to face. Bob did chase Goliath to the end of the hall but then goliath turned to face him at the end instead of going through the gate. They stood and looked at each other then Bob moved forward and Goliath hit him so Bob backed off and the cat, instead of going through the puppy gate, went back down the hall so the cat was not the least bit scared. his tail was wagging. He wants to play, but is learning quite quickly what No means and I think within time will not have to be told to leave the cats alone. He comes away from the end of the hall when told to and I think the initial excitement of living with other animals will wear off. He sits and gives a paw (and you don't have to be holding a treat). He is the best! We've been for big walks and got some toys which he loves to play with.
BARNEY
Thought you might like to know that Barney has just one four rosettes at the Fete
Scruff Dog show at the weekend, including best dog, 6 best legs and paired with a pointer
a half of the best pairing competition. How he wasnt a shoe-in for the most
beautiful eyes and wiggliest tail I have no idea! Local politics is all I can think of.
I demand a recount!!!!

Seriously though, she's a treasure we wouldn't swap for all the tea in Tescos.
Brodie is doing well and is eating properly now & has put on 3 kgs. of muscle, in fact, she's doing better than me out of this; we took her to Norfolk recently & it rained leaving the paths muddy, it took one pull on the lead to slide swiftly on to my bum! On another occasion I sprained my ankle while walking her & later stood on one of her bones-ouch! I tripped over her at the weekend and fell over with a full watering can (ugh!) and i now have to go to the nurse for treatment. ok I admit it , I'm just clumsy. actually she's lying across both my feet now and keeping my toes warm. life is good. she's even made friends with some of the local dogs ,though she is still aggressive with strange dogs. We're taking her to Dorset in a couple of weeks for a holiday and I'll try to get a nice photo to send you. uh oh now she's snoring! keep up the good work.
DANNY (NOW FRANKY)
Tim and I brought Danny (who is now Franky) home and is adjusting quite
well. He was overly excited but is now calming down. He is doing quite well
with potty training. He is also learning his new name. We still have to work
on basic commands but in time I am sure he will become a pro.
Thank you again for giving us this wonderful opportunity. Tim and Kelly Miller
OSCAR

scar has settled Right in with the family, he really is a very loving loyal boy, he just loves to please, he is very good and well mannered indeed. In fact he has really taken a shine to me, he loved to be with me and follows me around and will sit and watch whatever I am doing.....If he can get a cuddle and a tummy tickle he is in heaven.....hope you enjoy the pics of him.
BELLA
Attached is a photo of Bella. I can't believe we have only had her since April 06, seems like she has been part of the family for ever :-) She really is a lovely girl and settled in really well, she loves cuddles! She can be a bit excitable around other dogs and although she is friendly she makes so much noise with her barking and whimpering that the other dogs think she is being aggressive. We have therefore been very careful and have gradually introduced her to other dogs.

BEETLE
Beetle is great! She has let Slug know in no uncertain terms that she is in charge and that's that!! They have discovered the joy of playing with each other and now there is no stopping them, they've crashed into the fireplace twice already scaring them both half to death because the white pebbles went everywhere!! They tease each other with toys and then run round like a pair of loons slobbering over each other and they don't seem to mind who they dive on in the process of their rather "boisterous" play. She really doesn't like thunderstorms and became quite distressed on Saturday when we had a really vicious storm but we'll see how it goes because Slug isn't bothered and I'm hoping that might help in the long run. They have both started copying each other and following each other everywhere although they both have their favourite places to lay.

RUBY
Ruby and Snatch are also fine together so far.
He grumbled once at her yesterday because she would stop humping him and was chasing him
around. She is certainly not aggressive with it, she humps him for a few seconds then
jumps off him and play bows, barks at him and tries running around in circles to make him
play. Bless her, Snatch doesnt do play fighting and she looks a little sad
afterwards but will try again a little later. She got the message when he grumbled at her
and left him alone.

Sam's settling in very well. He's been well trained and has no vices - so far anyway. Eating properly now and the kennel cough has just about cleared up, I think. Just back from the coast with him, its much cooler there. He's learnt to fetch from the water. I don't think he'd seen the sea before. Looking forward to some cooler weather so we can get some decent walks in.
SHINE (NOW STAMFORD)
Stamfords getting on really well.
We couldn't imagine life with out him, hes really well behaved. He loves his walks
and has made loads of new friends! I have some photos developed so will send some onto
you. He is so boisterous and mischievous and hes always into everything when his
quiet we worry!!

SAFFY

Saffy is doing well and as I'm am getting better with my camera I thought I would send you another picture, bless her
LILLY
Lilly is great thanks, she had a
good Christmas and was introduced to the whole family, who loved her. We have
been for some good walks with her and she has now got to the stage that she
looks forward to going out every day. We think she is beginning to lose weight
and she is much more active. Hopefully she will eventually cotton on that there
is no point waiting for biscuits and sweets!
YOGI & NIPPZ
Yogi is referred to as Bungalow as he has nothing up top..............he only comes alive for food in any form and Nippz is my little princess. They both push the boundaries as staffies will, I must of told them to get off the bed 1000 times but are also very well behaved. Yogi is stubborn and Nippz is a little minx but very keen to please and we no longer exit the boot of the car like an Exocet missile. We are all very happy togther. Spent the week end in Looe in Cornwall. They made many fans, they are so well behaved. They even got invited into the restuarant. Nippz is as fit as a fiddle and just loving it all and so are we :)
