DOGS:
It
was a pleasure to ‘go over’ so many good dogs, my observations overall are: pups
should be seen to be pups, but many are over the desired height, which ultimately may
present a problem. Some brindle coats over the croup area were thick and coarse, and feet
are losing that ‘well padded’ strong look. Pump handle tails as required in our
breed standard - many were set too high and carried almost over the back when on the move.
However, temperament was impeccable.
We
all must endeavour to breed and judge to the breed standard to ensure the successful
continuity of the breed.
MINOR PUPPY DOG (11, 2 abs)
1st BIGGLESWICK RED ALERT
AT MEGALITO 
A
good standard red and compact minor pup, excellent head shape with defined stop and round
dark eyes placed correctly in skull. He has a correct mouth, a good under jaw, ear
placement and carriage.
2nd BOURTIE READY OR NOT
Mature dog puppy, fawn with white front and again a correct coat texture, a pleasing head shape, and ample bone and standing four square. He has a round dark eye well placed in skull. His ribs are well sprung, has strong hindquarters, he moved very soundly and held a level topline. He carried a little weight on the day.

set and neat rear. His front is clean and has good bone with ample ribs, padded feet. He
moved freely and soundly with correct tail carriage. A smart standard sized pup.

Well
made top sized red dog, correct shaped eye placement and ear set, well defined stop, clean
and straight front, well padded feet and moved very soundly. He has a good coat texture. I
preferred the over all quality of the first.

A mature brindle pup, with excellent pigmentation throughout, with ample bone, well padded feet and spring of rib, with correct tail set. I would prefer to see a little larger eye and coat texture, but I sure both will improve with maturity.
2nd BOLDAVIER LAW AND ORDER
A well made brindle dog with white flash, clean front and padded feet, dark pigmentation, and pleasing head shape, with depth of skull, tidy ears, once again a larger eye would improve. Carrying a little weight was to his disavantage.

A well-balanced red dog who moved with great drive, headshape is pleasing, he has a good foreface of strength with under jaw and large teeth. His pigmentation in his mouth is certainly a virtue, he has neat and correct ear carriage, a short muscular neck, a good length of leg, well-boned, straight front and padded feet. He has well muscled hindquarters, enough brisket with spring of rib. The picture is complete with a pump handle tail. He was fit, and when asked to move he had just that ripple over the ribs. A dog with some class, and I was pleased to hear that he has received his third C.C. CC AND BEST DOG IN SHOW
2nd BALOO'S KING LOUIE
A quality brindle, with white ‘splash’, very good head shape, and dark eye placed correctly in skull, he is well boned and has clean front and well padded feet. His coat is smooth and close and good texture. I would have liked a more pleasing topline when ‘stacked’ and on the move, but his virtues won him a second place in this strong class
