I would like to thank the Officers and Committee for inviting me to judge this show, also to thank my stewards, who were first class and the exhibitors for the good entry.  On the down side, I was disappointed at the number of poor feet and some dentition problems.  

Minor Puppy Dog

1st HALLASTAFF YOUNG ARTHUR Black brindle and white powerfully built for a minor puppy. Typical head shape with good expression, muzzle in balance with skull, strong underjaw.  Broad front, good bone, level topline, good spring of rib, powerful backend with well bent stifle.  Moved well.  BEST PUPPY DOG

2nd CROSSGUNS COMPADRE Black brindle, slightly taller than 1^st but similar type.  Decent head, good ears, broad front, well up on pasterns, excellent topline, well developed backend for a puppy, nice coat.

3rd HALLASTAFF MAXIMUS Black brindle. Promising puppy, litter brother to 1^st, on similar lines, level topline, good bend of stifle, moved and handled well.

1st BOWTMAN STILL STANDING Black brindle and white. Well built, close coupled dog, lovely head shape of correct proportions, good mouth, strong underjaw, neat ears, straight front, level topline, not overdone, good bend of stifle, moved and handled well.

2nd GABBY'S BRIEF ENCOUNTER Brindle. Good head, neat rose ears, dark eye, good spring of rib, topline held on move, good rear quarters and good pigmentation, moved OK.

3rd CASHALEE CHARMER AT CROSSGUNS Black brindle. Powerfully built, very good bone, correct proportion of head with strong underjaw, dark eye, powerful neck leading to level topline and strong backend

Yearling Dog

1st ROTHERSTAFF KING CREOLE Black brindle. Nicely balanced dog with lovely head shape, good ears, dark eye, strong underjaw, good mouth, straight front with good bone, level topline held on move, well angulated rear quarters, moved well.

2nd CAPTAIN KAISER Red. Nicely balanced and powerful head shape, broad skull, strong underjaw, neat ears, good mouth, well sprung ribcage, level topline, strong well developed quarters. Needs to lose 2 or 3lbs and get fitter, handling needs to improve. I can see this dog having a very good future will watch him with interest.

3rd ALCNIK BRYN DU Black brindle. Short coupled, well balanced lovely head, correct bite, dark eye, muzzle correct proportion to skull, strong underjaw, straight front, enough rib, held topline on move, well angulated powerful quarters, good pigmentation.

1st KENMILLTRI RED ADAIR Red. Another who needs to settle, standard size with decent head, good mouth, level topline, good pigmentation, feet need tightening, hard road walking will help.

2nd MAXIMUS BLACK SHADOW AT JOJALANE Black brindle. Excellent coat and pigmentation, broad skull, dark eye, very good ribcage, moved OK.

Very pleasing head with dark eye, skull and muzzle in balance, neat ears, good dentition, excellent straight front, good well padded feet, dark pigmentation, level topline, strongly put together body with well angulated hindquarters. Close decision between 1^st and 2^nd.

2nd ALKNIK BRYN DU straight front, good bone, powerful backend, well bent stifle, coat in gleaming condition, moved very well, would like to see a little more substance to body to get balance correct but still a really fit young dog.

3rd WESTBANK BLUE BLAZER Black brindle and white. Powerfully built, broad skull, strong underjaw, good bite, straight front, excellent bone, good ribcage, level topline, strong hindquarters, moved and handled well.

3rd JULY THE TWENTY SIXTH Black brindle. Good head, broad skull, dark eye, short coupled, decent backend, feet need to tighten.

Lovely dog, full of breed type, beautifully balanced, broad skull, muzzle in balance, dark eye, neat ears, good mouth, straight front, good bone, strong short neck, powerful rear quarters, well padded feet, excellent pigmentation, great coat and conditions, excellent mover. Pleased to award him CC after recognising his potential at Darlington when I gave him BP. Handled very well in his usual happy and sporting manner. CC and BEST IN SHOW

 2nd VEKLORRA ON A HY JW A lovely dog this young veteran, everything looks good, a mouth to be proud of, in great condition, a credit to his owners.

1.       Hopkins Toffee Truffle.  Very pretty pied, pleasing head shape, lovely neat ears, feminine expression.  Good clean lines, well balanced.  Kept level topline on the move. 

2.       Robinsons Leger Knockout Whist., nice tidy b.br.  a little longer cast than 1, good head shape, nice round dark eye, moved and handled very well. Nice puppy.

 1.       Stones Knockon Yes You at Ashbull.  Lovely B.Br. Beautiful headshape, neatest of ears, good dark round eye with alert expression. Short muzzle and good stop, no lippiness.  With a little maturity will trouble the best.  BPIS 

2.       Curds Knockon Heavens Door.  B.Br. litter sister to 1. Developing nicely, at present has a little more rib than winner, and looks more mature.  Carrying a little too much weight today, I would suspect post season. Will watch her with interest.

3.       Barren & Guiver’s Gularrens Temptin Fate.

Brutons Ferrymans Velvet Duchess.  Another outstanding B.Br. with that desirous headshape and pleasing feminine expression.  Good stop, short strong muzzle, straight front well boned.  Good shoulder placement. Level topline, good bend of stifle, moved well. Have no doubt she has a bright future ahead of her. 

2. Pickett’s Valglo Angelique.  Well boned b.Br. Lovely headshape and expression, straight front, good well padded feet, little longer cast than winner.  Would prefer to see more animation. Well handled.

1. Norton’s Tikkurilan Ticka Teboo. B.Br.  Good headshape, neat ears, good stop, short strong muzzle, good clean front, a little more up on the leg, well balanced and moves well when she behaves.

       2         Ferguson’s Challimers Molly Malone at Fergustaff.  Eye-catching pretty pied.  Good neat ears, lovely headshape, well developed cheek bumps, short muzzled and clean.  Deep brisket, level topline, would prefer a little more on the leg to balance the picture.

  2  Lewis’ Summer Flames, red, heavier type, ears not her fortune.  Good expression.  Moved really well.

1. Fowler & Butlers Jayneze Jet Setting.  B.br  Good headshape, with lovely feminine expression.  Clean foreface,  distinct stop, would have preferred a darker eye.  Good straight front.  Movement good,  short coupled, level topline held on the move. Good bend of stifle.

  2   Jackson’s Spinnjack Solar.  B.Br of good quality, nice neat ears,  with alert expression.  short coupled, good topline.  Hasn’t quite got the front of winner.

  2  Norton’s Stormpike Cleopatra of Tikkurilan. Dk br.  Very tidy bitch with exaggerations.  Good head shape, nice round well placed dark eye, good ear carriage, excellent expression.  Level topline. Good bend of stifle.  Moved well.

1. Franklands Aldwych Chilli Pepper. Dk. Br. With an absolutely lovely head shape, have judged her previously, and has now matured into a lovely bitch.  Well pronounced cheek bumps, short strong muzzle with no fleshiness.. Lovely neat rose ears, straight front, good shoulder placement. Good spring of rib, moved and handled very well. Proud to award her CC.

  2   McComiskie & Dick’s Ch. Bourtie Steal the Limelight.  A favorite of mine, judged her as a puppy and loved her then and still do now.  Super head shape, with no coarseness, short, clean, strong muzzle.  Strong body, well ribbed, with good muscle tone.  Felt at the challenge she looked as though she was flagging.

   2    Stone’s Murphys Jeans Lady at Ashbull dk br. In really good nick, kept a level top line and moved well.
